United Airlines has opened the second facility under its Club Fly “grab-and-go” lounge concept.

The space is located at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, within Terminal B near Gates B12 and B20, and is open daily between 0530 and 2000.

Amenities include self-scan entry, free wifi, a full-service coffee bar, a self-service beverage counter, and F&B options including freshly-squeezed orange juice, pastries, wraps, salads and sandwiches.

It is open to United Club members, as well as those flying internationally in premium cabins.

United said that more than half of its customers at the airport are connecting passengers, with the new Club Fly facility designed to “improve the customer experience for on-the-go travellers who are pressed for time and want to quickly recharge and refuel before their flight”.

United also operates five United Club lounges at Houston, as well as a United Polaris lounge.

The first Club Fly space was unveiled at Denver International Airport in 2022, and United said that more than 300,000 travellers had visited the facility since it opened.

The Houston opening is part of United’s growth plans at the airport, which include a $2.6 billion renovation and expansion of Terminal B, a new United Club location and an Early Bag Storage facility.

Commenting on the news Alexander Dorow, Head of United’s Club and Lounge Program, said:

“We’re bringing elevated convenience to Houston with the opening of our second Club Fly location.

“Designed for on-the-go United Club members, Club Fly offers a club experience that matches the ways travelers’ needs have evolved, especially when they’re pressed for time.

“Not all customers travel the same way and that encourages us to constantly look at new opportunities to add value to our club programme and support travellers throughout their entire journey.”

United also said that it plans to open a renovated and expanded club in Denver’s B West Terminal this year, as well as reopening it’s United Club at Hong Kong International Airport.

Further ahead the carrier will open a new United Club at San Francisco and its largest ever lounge at Houston in 2026.
