Turkish Airlines has unveiled its new business class suite at Farnborough Airshow, set to feature on the carrier’s transcontinental flights.
The new Crystal Business Class suite features seats with an adjustable door and privacy panel, plus an enhanced 23-inch width, increased footwell space and direct aisle access for all passengers.
The suite features lighter and warmer colours in line with its ‘Flow’ brand identity, along with marble-style tables and rose gold finishes.
As with the previous business class product, the suite will include adjustable ambient and reading lights, universal power outlets and USB-C charging units, wireless charging, a 22-inch IFE screen with a noise-cancelling audio jack, adjustable mirror, and a cushion on the seatback.
The new seats will be gradually installed on the A350s on order, and there are plans to retrofit the seats on its fleet of Boeing 777 aircraft.
Seats have been developed by its subsidiary, TCI Aircraft Interiors, with plush leather and fabrics sourced from Turkey.
Chairman of the board and executive committee Prof. Ahmet Bolat stated:
“Our new Crystal Business Class suite will add a new chapter for our long-haul luxury travel and will carry the airline into the future with a new level of comfort and privacy across our extensive global network. The specially created design will complement our award-winning inflight dining options for us to keep providing an unparalleled experience above the clouds for our guests.”
This news comes a few days after the airline announced plans to offer free unlimited wifi across its entire fleet from the end of 2025.
The airline plans to retrofit its existing fleet and equip the new aircraft with the latest inflight connectivity technologies, aiming “to meet the expectations of its passengers regarding their digital consumption habits”.
The airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TCI Aircraft Interiors and Turksat, and is in active negotiations with local and international suppliers.
