On June 17, the second day of the Paris Air Show, the 2025 SKYTRAX World Airline Awards were announced during a gala ceremony at the Air and Space Museum at Le Bourget. Qatar Airways was once again crowned the World’s Best Airline, securing the title for the ninth time.

The SKYTRAX World Airline Awards have been running since 1999 and are among the most recognized honors in the industry. It is often compared to the Oscars of the aviation industry and is solely based on global passenger surveys, and covers more than 325 airlines each year.

Qatar Airways’ Consistency In Service Excellence Drives This Win

In addition to being named the World’s Best Airline, the Qatari flag carrier also received top honors for the World’s Best Business Class, Best Business Class Lounge, and Best Airline in the Middle East. These wins show the airline’s continued focus on delivering a premium experience across the board, from its Qsuite cabins and in-flight dining to its Al Mourjan Lounge.

The airline has also built a strong track record for product innovation and service consistency, which helps it remain one of the most trusted names in long-haul travel. Its focus on premium cabins, ground services, and customer satisfaction has set a high bar for the global airline industry. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO, said:

“Being named the World’s Best Airline for the ninth time is an extraordinary honor…These accolades reaffirm our ambition not only to lead, but to redefine what exceptional service means in aviation…Being continuously recognized as a 5-Star Airline further underscores our mission: to set new benchmarks for the industry and to ensure that our passengers feel genuinely cared for, valued, and inspired to return.”
