New Zealand will stop accepting paper applications for selected visitor and transit visas from October 1, 2026, with applicants required to submit applications through Immigration New Zealand’s (INZ) enhanced Immigration Online system.
The change is part of INZ’s ongoing transition towards digital visa processing. Most visitor visa applications and all transit visa applications can already be submitted online through the enhanced system.
“Moving applications online makes it easier for customers to apply and track their applications, while helping us focus on providing a more efficient and effective application process,” Immigration New Zealand said.
