Maldivian, the Maldives’ flag carrier, has entered an interline arrangement with Emirates, the UAE flag carrier, to provide at least 16 more travel options for Emirates customers.
This agreement will allow Emirates passengers to use both airlines’ services and networks on a single ticket while also aiming to improve the customer experience throughout their journey.
Customers flying to archipelago resorts in the Indian Ocean will now have the option of flying into more popular vacation areas after connecting through Velana International Airport in the North Male region.
Emirates travellers will then be able to connect with Maldivian flights to reach a variety of domestic sites for their island vacation.
Emirates’ chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim emphasised how this will offer customers a wider choice of travel options.
Kazim said: “We are delighted to establish a partnership with Maldivian to expand our reach into more points in the Maldives. By partnering with the Maldivian flag carrier, we are able to offer customers smooth connections when flying to a wide choice of islands within the country via Malé.
