Lufthansa has unveiled its latest lounge refurbishment, with the reopening of its first class facility at Munich Airport.
The Terminal 2 lounge now features a newly designed dining area with an a la carte restaurant, buffet and bar.
Other facilities include washrooms, work areas with printing and photocopying services, TV areas and “a large selection of newspapers and magazines”. Opening hours are from 0500 to 2200. The carrier is in the midst of renovating 30 of its lounges, with recent unveilings at Newark and Heathrow.
Lufthansa celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, and recently outlined plans to update “all service components” across all classes on long-haul flights.
Project “Future Onboard Experience” will cover everything from “the entire culinary offering”, to tableware, pillows, blankets, amenity kits and the onboard service.The reopening of the Munich first class lounge comes as the airline continues to roll out its Allegris cabins on routes from the Bavarian hub.
This winter Lufthansa will operate Allegris – fitted A350 aircraft from Munich to Bengaluru, Cape Town, Chicago, Miami, New York JFK, Newark, Shanghai and Tokyo.
