KLM has announced plans for three new long-haul destinations for summer 2025.
The Dutch carrier will launch thrice weekly flights to San Diego on 8 May, 2025, bringing its North American network to 22 destinations.
Flights will depart Amsterdam on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 0950, arriving into San Diego International at 1200, with the return leg leaving the US city at 1355 and landing back into Schiphol at 0915 the following day.
The route will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 configured with 30 seats in business class, 21 in Premium Comfort and 224 in economy.
Currently the only other nonstop routes between San Diego and Europe are from Heathrow with British Airways, and from Munich with Lufthansa.
The new service will be followed by the launch of twice-weekly flights to Guyana’s capital Georgetown on 4 June, which will operate with a stop in Sint Maarten on the outbound leg.
Flights will depart Schiphol on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1000, arriving into Sint Maarten at 1300, before continuing onto Georgetown at 1420 and landing at 1635. The return leg will leave Georgetown at 1755, arriving back into Amsterdam at 1015 the following day.
The route will be operated by an A330-200 aircraft configured with 18 seats in business class and 246 in economy.
Finally KLM will launch flights to Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana on 2 September, adding to existing routes to Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.
The thrice-weekly service will depart Amsterdam on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1140, arriving into Hyderabad at 0030 the following day, before returning at 0220 and landing back into Schiphol at 0840.
The route will be operated by the carrier’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, configured with 35 seats in business class, 24 in Premium Comfort and 229 in economy.
Earlier this month Air France KLM announced plans to increase the frequency of flights from Amsterdam to Bengaluru and Delhi, and from Paris to Delhi and Mumbai.
