Iberia has launched new dynamic boarding passes which update to reflect operational changes and flight information.
Previously, Iberia customers received a static electronic boarding pass or a printed boarding pass from the check-in counter, but with the new technology, electronic boarding passes update automatically when a boarding gate or seat number changes, or to reflect a cabin upgrade.
Customers will receive a push notification each time a change is made, informing them their boarding pass has been updated. Iberia says it will continue to send the same updates by email too.
The new boarding passes are available to those with the Iberia app, which is compatible on both Apple and Android phones.
Other updates from Iberia relating to customer experience include the launch of its own channel on ChatGPT and a new app for those with hearing and verbal communication difficulties.
Most recently, it announced plans for a new Premium Lounge in Madrid-Barajas Airport’s T4, which is part of its five-year growth plan.
