Emirates has announced it is reinstating its third daily flight between Dubai and Rome from 1 June 2025.
Emirates suspended the Dubai-Rome route in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, before resuming flights to Rome in July of the same year.
The additional flight will depart Dubai at 0330 and arrive into Rome at 0740, while the return journey leaves Rome at 1130 and lands in Dubai at 1920.
The reinstated service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, fitted with eight private suites in first class, 42 lie-flat seats in business class and 310 seats in economy.
Emirates says that flights are timed to better connect travellers to destinations such as Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Mumbai, Karachi, and other points across Asia and the Indian Ocean.
The carrier first launched services to Rome in 1992, flying to the Italian capital three times a week. It has since grown its presence in Italy to operate flights to Milan, Venice and Bologna.
Emirates also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ITA Airlines last year, to expand their existing interline agreement into a full codeshare partnership.
