Emirates is taking its latest premium redesign off the aircraft and into the airport, unveiling a new lounge concept in Munich and Frankfurt as the Gulf carrier works to make the ground experience match its updated first and business class cabins.

Interestingly, the new lounge concept rolled out in Germany, and not in Dubai. Both Munich and Frankfurt lounges have been given the task to show off the new look, with Manchester coming up in July, Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October.

For now, the airline has named five cities in the first wave, while the pace of a broader global rollout remains undefined.

What to Expect

The Dubai-based carrier says the new design will “become the blueprint” for future lounge upgrades across its network, with more than AED 50 million being invested in each next-generation space.
