Delta Air Lines will boost the number of business class seats on its Airbus A350 and A330neo jets, while also upgrading its A330 workhorses to Delta One suites.
Also on the way: larger domestic first class cabins on its single-aisle Airbus A321neo and Boeing 737 MAX 10 fleet.
This comes as no surprise, given the carrier’s continued push into the premium travel segment, as rivals American Airlines and United also beef up their business class offerings on a series of jets configured to be front-heavy in business class and premium economy.
“We’ve seen tremendous growth and demand for premium travel, for enhanced comfort and a better experience,” Rob LeBel, Delta’s Managing Director for International & Specialty Sales, told Executive Traveller late last year, ahead of Delta’s launch of Melbourne-Los Angeles flights.

Delta has been steadily revamping its Airbus A350-900 jets to grow from 32 Delta One suites to 40, alongside 40 Delta Premium Select (premium economy) seats with a 38” pitch in their own cabin.
