The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Etihad Airways have launched the new Abu Dhabi Pass at ITB Berlin, simplifying visitor access to the emirate’s top attractions.
The free, fully digital pass provides Etihad passengers and visitors with a tourist SIM card (10GB data), unlimited public bus access, and 24-hour hop-on-hop-off bus rides—all without an app download. Pass holders also enjoy exclusive discounts at cultural landmarks, Yas Island attractions, over 200 restaurants, and experiences like desert safaris.
Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi, emphasised the initiative’s role in positioning Abu Dhabi as a premier global destination. Aysha Al Kaabi, VP at Etihad Airways, highlighted the pass’s seamless integration of transport, connectivity, and entertainment.
Building on Etihad’s stopover program—which saw 85,000 visitors in 2024, up from 12,000 in 2023—the pass aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, supporting its goal of attracting 39.3 million visitors and contributing AED 90 billion to GDP.
