Cathay Pacific’s new Airbus A330 Aria Studio regional business class will take wing at the end of this year, as the airline moves from two-abreast recliners to flatbeds in a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access.
Cathay revealed the new Aria Suites at an invitation-only ‘Diamond Drinks’ event for top-tier frequent flyers, held at Hong Kong’s iconic Peninsula Hotel.
For now, we can only share some images snapped from a 30-second teaser video – but Guillaume Vivet, Cathay’s General Manager of Customer Experience Design, says this refit for the regional A330s “is going to transform the experience.”
And if 2025 was the year of the 777 Aria Suites business class, “2026 is the year of the A330 (Aria Studio) flatbed business class,” Vivet told Executive Traveller.
“It’s about elevating the experience where it matters the most to our customers,” and the A330 renewal is part of “our HK$100 billion dollar investment over the next few years.”
A rolling refurbishment program will see the first A330 fitted with the Aria Studio business class flying by year’s end, as Cathay works towards streamlining its regional A330 fleet into a single configuration.
