British Airways has outlined plans to expand services to North America next summer.
Six US and Canadian routes from Heathrow will see increased frequencies, with Miami gaining an additional seven flights per week, taking it to a twice daily year-round service.
As previously reported BA is also set to open a new lounge at Miami Airport next year.
The carrier’s Austin route will see an additional six flights per week in summer 2025, taking it to 13 services per week. This follows Virgin Atlantic’s decision to drop its Heathrow-Austin route earlier this year.
Meanwhile Las Vegas will gain an extra three flights per week during peak months, bringing the route to ten weekly flights. This news comes as Norse Atlantic began its new route between Gatwick and Las Vegas this week.
Pittsburgh will increase from six to seven flights per week, while Washington DC will see an extra seven weekly services, taking it to a total of 21 flights per week.
Finally Vancouver will gain “up to” seven flights per week next summer, with the route seeing up to 14 weekly flights during peak summer.
British Airways said it would operate more than 400 nonstop flights per week to US, Canada and Mexico next summer, including a total of 26 US cities.
Cincinnati was the most recent US destination to join the carrier’s network, with flights from Heathrow launching in June 2023.
BA also highlighted several other frequency increases for summer 2025, including:
- A third daily flight between Heathrow and Delhi
- An increase in the carrier’s Gatwick-Cancun services from six to seven weekly flights
- A second daily flight between Heathrow and Florence
- And flights to Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah – routes which are both resuming this November – will continue into the summer 2025 season.
Ahead of this BA’s flights between Gatwick and Bangkok will return on 28 October, initially operating thrice weekly before increasing to five flights per week between January and March 2025.
