British Airways has set about refurbishing its entire Airbus A380 fleet. Despite uncertainty around the viability of operating the massive double-deckers just a few years ago in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, these have since made a surprise return to service in a key role for the airline. The retrofit program will keep them around for longer and, importantly, leave the aircraft better suited to serving passengers in a market where demand for premium travel has boomed.
Fresh configurations will see the introduction of a brand-new first-class product by British Airways and, notably, see the airline nab the title for the largest business-class cabin aboard any aircraft across the world. Flights have already been cut in order for British Airways to enact the plan, which is in full swing.
