Emirates says, with immediate effect, passengers travelling from a list of countries including South Africa with transit times of 10-24 hours in Dubai will be allowed to transit Dubai.
Passengers must leave Dubai Airport and cannot stay airside during their transit period. If they are eligible for STPC, they must present a negative PCR test conducted within 48 hours and perform a rapid PCR test at the departure airport within six hours of departure, and another PCR test on arrival at Dubai International Airport.
If not eligible for STPC, passengers must have a pre-approved visa to enter the UAE as well, reports Travel News.
