British Airways is making changes to its schedule following plans by BALPA to strike on September 9, 10 and 27.
The airline says it will offer refunds and re-bookings for passengers booked on cancelled flights. Flights on partner airlines BA CityFlyer, SUN-AIR and Comair are not affected.
The airline is considering options to supplement its fleet by wet leasing aircraft and crew from other airlines and says is working with partner airlines to schedule larger aircraft.
According to GDSs, all BA flights on September 9 and 10 have been cancelled and booking classes for flights on September 27 are closed.
British Airways calls the strike by the association ‘completely unacceptable’ and says it will “continue to pursue every avenue to find a solution to avoid industrial action and protect its customers’ travel plans”.
